Hampton Farms Peanut Processing Facility

The 188,000SF expansion to Jimbo’s Jumbos, a peanut processing facility owned by Hampton Farms, sits on 20 acres adjacent to the existing facility. The expansion included clearing and grading 18.5 acres, installation of storm drain, water and sewer, site concrete and paving. The project was on an expedited schedule and crews cleared 18.5 acres, including 10,000CY of topsoil stripping and 75,000CY of off-site borrow to deliver the building pad in five weeks. The stone parking lot to be used for building lay-down area was completed 30 days later, which entailed 12,000CY of topsoil stripping, 10,000CY of undercut, 20,000CY of off-site excavation and installation of 15,000t tons of stone.
