UNC Asheville Highsmith Union
The project creates a 6,000-square foot multipurpose and event room with seating for 375 to 500, bridging Highsmith University Union and the Brown Hall dining facility. The project reconfigures space within Highsmith Union to create better-organized space for student interaction encouraging community, collaboration and engagement and to highlight students rather than administrative offices by reallocating space, including moving the intercultural center and the art gallery to more prominent areas.
