Nitta Gelatin Powdered Gelatin Production Facility
Nitta Gelatin’s Powdered Gelatin Production Facility measures 44,400 SF and produces pharmaceutical and food grade gelatin for domestic and international markets. The Fayetteville facility processes pig skins into a powdered gelatin, which in turn, is shipped to Nitta Gelatin Canada in Toronto, for final blending and packaging. The pharmaceutical applications include soft and hard shell gelatin capsules.
The production process utilizes a linear flow, which uses numerous mezzanine and platform areas to support tanks, a control room and equipment critical to production. Some of these areas reach a height of 60 feet. This plant is supported by office and quality control laboratory space and was designed for future expansion.
