BB&T Operations Center

The BB&T Operations Center project was constructed in three phases and completed while the existing facility was fully operational. The first phase of the project included improvements to the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) which required significant sitework to accommodate a mechanical yard which houses three large generators, fuel storage, cooling towers and chillers. Interior renovation included 21,000 SF to accommodate battery banks and mechanical equipment. Phase Two of the project included the renovation of 6,000 SF of existing space into computer server rooms. Phase Three included a complete security upgrade to the entire campus comprised of a 9-foot spear-top steel fence around the perimeter, new guard house and entry drive into the campus, pedestrian turnstiles and card access points.
