The High Point Bypass will bypass US311 from North Spencer Road (SR1929) to US220 in Randolph County, NC. The project measures 6.8 miles and includes ten bridge structures. The project is using the design/build delivery method and the contract includes permitting and right of way acquisition.

Barnhill Contracting Company's design partner for this Design/Build project was HDR Engineering of the Carolinas. Construction is expected to complete in 2012.
