East Wake Expressway

The East Wake Expressway is a 1.5-mile section of the Raleigh OuterLoop (540) that connects the existing US64 to the US64 Bypass (Knightdale Bypass). The project includes a major interchange with the US64 Bypass and six bridges, with two measuring in excess of 1,000 feet.  Barnhill Contracting Company completed the project in September 2006 with Design/Build Partner, HDR Engineering of the Carolinas.
