DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA
The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Discovery Center encompasses several building additions and renovations located near the historic Watts Building on the Durham campus. Additions are pictured above in blue and include space at Reynolds East, Hill East, Hill West and Bryan North. The space in these areas would serve as laboratories, classrooms, dining services, dormitories faculty offices and the library. The project would total 180,300 square feet of new construction, 74,300 square feet of renovation and would include 328 new dormitory beds, 31 new classrooms and 15 teaching laboratories.
Architects for the project are Ayers Saint Gross and DudaPaine. The project is currently under construction.

This project is being designed and constructed to pursue a level of LEED certification.
